Prayer for Peace

Our God, our creator and maker, we thank you for this world with so many people in each country and so many creeds.

Sometimes we become complacent and think we live in a peaceful place. We must ever be mindful of the poor, the hungry, and the homeless. and of wrongs done to people.

Sometimes our news bombards us with the troubles around the world and we wonder how so much can go wrong. We need to remember there are more good people than bad and more good is done every day. Help peace to grow within us and spread to our families and friends and congregations and spread throughout this world.

Let us be the witnesses that we are called to be and share our story and bring others to a relationship with you.

Again, we thank you God for everything and ask for your forgiveness where we have sinned or failed you and that we can promote peace wherever we are.

In Jesus’s most holy name. Amen.
